Museum & Gallery Exhibitions
Producing temporary exhibitions in museums and galleries demands different design skills to those needed for permanent installations. There is less concentration on structure, adaptability and long-term use, and more on improvisation, theatricality and illusion.
The themes and topics of temporary exhibitions typically result from focused research already carried out by curators or academics. The challenge is to design an exhibition so that their research, integrated with the available exhibits or works of art, is translated into three dimensions without compromising the exhibition's research themes and conclusions.
The design and production of a temporary exhibition also has to be achieved within a finite budget, and MJDA has the expertise and experience to design and produce exhibitions that achieve the maximum impact while remaining within budget and on time.
